Potcast 173: Cannabis and Brain Injury Research
Potcast 173 features one of my favorite cannabis scientists to talk about brain injuries and the use of cannabis as a treatment tool for TBI and CTE. You last met Dr. Linda Klumpers during our discussion about tolerance breaks and cannabis during pregnancy on Potcast 155.
Today Linda and I discuss the basics of brain injury and the varying cognitive and emotional effects. We explore the pitfalls of diagnosing brain injury, what the existing research suggests about cannabis as a neuro-protectant, and the politics blocking researchers and folks like you and me from learning more. I also ask Linda about the long-term implications of head trauma on adult brains and the developing brains of kids. Not everything we talk about is comfortable but everyone deserves the insight to make informed decisions.

MJ Relief is the CBD muscle rub I co-created with Dr. V, my cannabis soul sister and formulation scientist. I can't tell you how many hurdles I've jumped trying to get this to market. I'll record a potcast about it soon. 😬✌️ Purchase here. Or become a wholesale partner: mjskinrelief.com.
