On today’s episode we will be organising your chaos with Sarah Reynolds from Organised Chaos, a company that provides organising services for your home and business. At the beginning of the pandemic, people needed something to do while stuck at home, which is where Sarah has come in, helping people declutter and improve their living spaces. She tells us about what she calls “the work zone,” which is an area separate from your relaxation zones so that the two do not mesh together. We also discuss paper and how you need to be conscious of any paper you bring in and what you’re going to do with it, so it doesn’t just become clutter. In a time where people are stuck inside their homes, it becomes really easy to just keep ordering things online that they don’t need, which will add to the clutter, and Sarah talks about avoiding this. She talks about how to start decluttering your home and see through a different lens, so you’re no longer surrounded by chaos.

“I think every family member needs a memory box or two, and this is to keep anything that’s important to them and certainly if you have trouble deciding what to get rid of and decisions, a memory box can often ease that a little bit by knowing that you can keep some precious things. Not everything, because if everything is precious, then nothing is.” 20:36
