Lauren is the author of 15 books ranging on topics from Pancho to ballet, prison life to Alzheimer’s. She has immersed herself in these worlds and others to reveal them to us through her writing. Lauren talks about the challenges of researching this legendary, larger-than-life Aviatrix, a character from our rich history that everyone in aviation should get to know. 

If you already know Pancho's story, then we don't spoil too much for you in this interview. We do get into her later years, though, which you may want to learn about by reading the book first. I give a warning when we're headed in that direction.
