Episode 57 - School Choice So Hot Right Now, Newsom Tries to Polish His Image, Being "Symbolically Progressive"
California is one of the last states to reopen public schools for in person learning. The California Teacher's Association won't budge and Noodles doesn't seem to want to press them on it. So parents are starting to get into school choice. We discuss how school choice can break the monopoly unions and government can have on our children's education.
Noodles attempts to re-brand as the recall crosses 1.5 million signatures by taking his show on the road around California to show he's "working." Will it work or is it too late?
Finally, an article by Ezra Klein in the NYT discusses how progressives in California have to stop being "symbolically progressive" and actually work to get stuff done. And I actually agree with him.
