Today we have Forged in Fire champion (S5 E27), "Spicy" Mike Kerley. Mike is the owner and bladesmith of 7th Dragon Knifeworks. He also makes his own hot sauce, available in the near future. We discuss his time on Forged in Fire, how he got into bladesmithing, his favorite metal to work with, the new direction for his smithing, look at a couple of his knives, and what happens when someone doesn't pay for a knife they commission. We enjoyed this episode so much that we will have him on again in the same room rather than through video. We may even take a bladesmith class from him.
We are drinking TenneKeela, because it's local and Joey likes to support local. We mixed it with lime juice and it was pretty good. Steven drank too much and had to sleep on the couch in Joey's basement. Mike is drinking Keystone Light and New Amsterdam Vodka.
