Part of the goal I have for myself this year is to listen closely to what I need. Because the last thing I or my family needs is a tired momma. So it’s been great to really hone in on what I value and find important. I am amazed at how effective a few changes have been in my life---and I really believe it’s for the best.
That’s what brings me here today. We’re going to talk about social media and some of the things I’ve seen floating around the interwebs. People ready to delete all their accounts for Facebook and Instagram. Why I decided that it might be best for me to also delete my business Instagram. Over the past two or three weeks, there are talks about whether or not to quit Instagram. I’ve also seen people I follow talking about leaving most social media platforms.
And it’s kind of crazy, because in a roundabout way---my digital detox in January, opened my eyes to this very thing. To pretty much being ready to say goodbye to the digital space. I believed for my business and my sanity it was good to take a step back. All I posted last month were podcast updates. Besides I needed to reevaluate a few of my branding and messaging techniques anyway.
Plus, I wanted the opportunity to stay local to my area---put myself out there in my own town. Now, everyone has and will have their own reasons for deleting accounts or the app on their phones. But I’m going into why I chose a digital detox in January. Plus, we’ll dive into exactly what a digital detox is and how doing this has changed my life and could benefit yours too.
