In 1969, on the ninth floor of a Sir George Williams University building a peaceful protest was underway. Six Black students had accused their professor, Perry Anderson, of discrimination and when students felt the university's administration had not done a proper investigation, 200 students staged a sit-in. The event did not end as peacefully as it started.
