Prayer for Peace and Time of Rest

Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining in this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.

Father God in the name of Jesus, we honor your name and we give you glory and praise. We worship you for you are our God. And God we thank you that even in the midst of turmoil, in the myths of personal issues, in the midst of what's going on in our countries, in our land, that you are still in control.

You are the sovereign God, you see all, you know. And God, we worship you this morning that your word declares that you will never put more on us than we are able to bear. And that in you, God, you are fateful and there's always a way of escape. Help us to concentrate on your word. help us to find peace and harmony in your word today. In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I pray. For your peace and a time of rest. In Jesus' name, we give you glory. We give you praise that you are moving on our behalf and that you sit on the throne. God, you sit on the throne of our hearts. We trust your word. We dare not lean to our own understanding our own opinion, but in you, God is the answer that the world needs.

We praise you for being in control. In Jesus' name. Amen.
