Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation:
Breathe and direct your thoughts to contacting God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate.
Bible verses for Meditation:
Romans 4:13-17
NRSV
13 For the promise that he would inherit the world did not come to Abraham or to his descendants through the law but through the righteousness of faith. 14 If it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void. 15 For the law brings wrath; but where there is no law, neither is there violation.
16 For this reason it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his descendants, not only to the adherents of the law but also to those who share the faith of Abraham (for he is the father of all of us, 17 as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”)—in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.
KJV
13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Meditation on Scripture:
Sometimes we speak about how the law is in direct contrast to the way of Christ. This scripture points out an interesting comparison. The father of Israel is Abraham and when you look through the old testament there is not a great deal of rules set up with the covenant of Abraham. In fact it seems to be more of a promise from God that he will be their God with the understanding that he wanted them to follow. This seems to be what the Abrahamic covenant was about.
This is how Paul paints it as well. Abraham was made the father of nations through faith. Abraham surely did receive the promise of God and it has been clearly fulfilled. With that said, it is a clear demonstration how trust in God leads to the fulfillment of blessings. God’s word is always fulfilled, including when he proclaims blessings.
Paul then points to how it is of faith, through grace to the end of the promise might be offered to the seed, including those who believe as Abraham did. As followers of Christ we also believe in the same God, Jehovah, that Abraham did. As a result we can be blessed by the same faith and reliance that Abraham did, if we are willing to follow the spirit to where God leads us. God will be our father as we trust in this covenant. Glory be to God for his mercy and grace.
Meditation of Prayer:
Pray as directed by the Spirit.
Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him.

Final Question: How do you see faith leading to blessings in your life?
Final Thought: Perhaps we can then see the big conflict between the Law of Moses and the teachings of the savior through a different light. Perhaps it was the rigidity with which the people applied the law that caused it to be such a distraction from Jesus. The people had set up their own expectations on God, as a result they didnt recognize the divinity of Jesus when he did come. Fulfillment of the Law has never been possible by our own merits. Even in the Old Testament sacrificial offerings were made for failure to uphold the law. This was given to turn the hearts of the people to the mercy of God and to prepare them for the coming of the Lamb of God who would take away the sins of the people for all who place their faith in Him.
