Documentary filmmaker Andrés A Parra joins the show today. Andrés is originally from Venezuela but has been in the Midwest for about 35 years and currently lives in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. He offers great insight into the documentary world. He talks about his projects including one headed by Steven Spielberg and a very personal story for him called Terminally Optimistic which is about three women with stage 4 breast cancer which is a journey that his wife is also on.
He also talks about finding the story within the subject matter and the structure of his documentaries.
