Pete Dominick | How To Become a Comedian in New York City
Pete Dominick is a versatile personality who is a podcaster, stand-up comic, speaker, news commentator, host, journo activist, moderator, professional speaking consultant, husband, and proud father of two daughters. He started his career in stand-up comedy and made a name for himself in the NYC comedy scene, performing at all the top clubs. Pete's talent landed him the coveted role as the warm-up comic for Jon Stewart and The Daily Show, followed by The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, where he remained for most of its run. CNN hired him as their man on the street, which led to him becoming a regular panel commentator and eventually the host of his own CNN show, "What the Week."
For nearly 12 years, Pete hosted a daily three-hour live radio show on SiriusXM, "Stand Up with Pete Dominick." The show featured 3-to 4 expert guests who discussed a wide range of issues and ideas, cultivating a following of like-minded people who wanted to learn, laugh, and grow together. This format eventually inspired Pete to create his own independent daily podcast, where he hosts two brilliant guests each day alongside a comprehensive 20-30-minute news segment. From his home in New York State, Pete books, hosts, edits, and produces the entire podcast. The podcast rivals any daily news podcast from major media companies. Pete is passionate about creating his content, performing stand-up, and doing his best to learn how to make the world a better place.
