The Steelers made a surprise acquisition last year, bringing in Eric Ebron. In 2017 it was Joe Haden. With little cap space in 2021, can Kevin Colbert work some magic to shore up some glaring weaknesses?
What wasn’t a surprise was the signing of BJ Finney. He is a sorely-needed veteran presence for an offensive line that is disappearing before our eyes as Matt Feiler moves to the Chargers in a 3-year, $21 million deal.
Although it was almost a foregone conclusion, it still hurts to see Bud Dupree leave. He’s going to the Titans for a deal that will pay him more than $16M per year.
However, there is good news. The Steelers re-signed CB Cam Sutton to a 2-Year, $9 million contract, less than anticipated, although the deal length is a bit odd.
We wait with baited breath to see if we retain Joe Haden, but assume that we won’t be able to hold onto the Silver Bullet.
