Personally I think all foods are super, however there is some foods which are legally allowed to be labelled in this way.
Foods which are especially nutritious or otherwise beneficial to wellbeing can be considered superfoods. They need to have a specific medical claim that can be supported by credible scientific research.
Many superfoods also refer to their Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC), which is often referred to as antioxidant properties.
