Last week we discussed the Texas blackouts with a focus on practical solutions to these weather-related events and shared perspectives of homeowners and businesses.
This week, we are focusing on a first-hand perspective and to do so, I Invited my friend Jeff Wolfe to join us. Jeff is a Vermont native, quite used to snow and cold weather but now he lives in Houston.
In addition to being a Texas resident, Jeff is the CEO of Veloce Energy which provides EV charging infrastructure to accelerate charger deployment and reduce costs. Jeff is a long-time board member at the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). We worked side-by-side together at SEIA for many years.
Many know Jeff as the founder of Gro Solar, one of the pioneering solar distributors and installers based in Vermont but now that Jeff is in Texas, and given he lived through the recent Texas blackouts, I know you will want to listen to this week’s Energy Show to hear his personal perspective on what happened when the power failed and what Jeff’s take is on how Texas can solve its utility problem and how homeowners and businesses can prepare for the next big blackout.
