For me, the aughts consisted of lots and lots of virtual crate-digging. I found so much great stuff back then that I ultimately bought a controller and resumed DJing after something like a 15-year break. For this mix I combed through joints I collected mostly during what is now called the blog era. These are gems that have survived countless hard drive purges over the years and currently live in a folder named "Indy Rap" because I can't think of a better genre name. There are some interesting folks on a few of these songs from a teenage A-Trak to Kendrick Lamar and Philly's own Freeway. Keeping with the blog era spirit, I left some of the details for you to Google on your own, if interested.
As usual, I selected nothing but gems and bangers para la gente.
