365 Brothers - Listening to Black Men
Society & Culture:Relationships
People go "Wow" over his wedding. Let me just say I wish everyone would do it like they did. Cocktails. Dinner. Then the nuptials. Oh, and it was one of CELEBrations televised nuptials, officiated by (now) Representative Karen Bass and some names I'll let him drop.
Don't conclude this brother, Dr. Nii Quarterlai Quartey, lacks depth, though. Intellectual, social and political depth is his Ghanaian father's and grandfather's legacy. He's a gay rights and social impacts heavy hitter. He served as a Senior Policy Advisor for the "Out For Biden" initiative of the Biden-Harris campaign. He's also an amateur street photographer, art collector and so much more. Informative. Insightful. Follow him @DrNiiQuartelai
Favorite song: Devotion by Earth, Wind and Fire. Favorite movie is Ghost.
Favorite words: Ralph Waldo Emerson's "What lies behind us and what lies before us is no matter compared to what lies within us." Oh, and Tony Morrison's The Source of Self-Regard: Selected Essays, Speeches and Meditations.
