Floyd and his son have overcome homelessness through hard work and dedication. Now Floyd Schofield jr is a professional boxer fighting under the name Kid Austin. Coached by his dad, Kid Austin won his first three professional boxing matches by KO in the first or second round of each fight. In this Episode, Floyd Sr shares his Fatherhood journey which includes seven children with Kid Austin being the only one he has full custody of and has raised as a single dad. Kid Austin describes what it’s like to have his father in his corner as a professional boxer. Floyd Sr discusses the Fatherless Crisis and how he sees many young men come into the gym seeking not only boxing guidance but a father figure as well. Kid Austin discusses why he decided to turn pro after over 150 amateur fights and not pursue the Olympics. Floyd Sr talks about the importance of Social Media to grow an audience as a prizefighter.
