Why Veganism & Normalizing Therapy with Jacque Reid
Jacque Reid is the Emmy Award Winning multimedia personality and veganista who initiated the brand - Vegan Sexy Cool, a vibrant online platform that includes a digital lifestyle magazine, and a podcast, where she curates content dedicated to vegans, people who are transitioning to be vegans, people who are interested in the vegan lifestyle, and those who are simply curious about the vegan lifestyle. Another feat of this platform is that it also organizes influencer dinners.
Apart from spearheading the Vegan Sexy Cool brand as a way to express her immense passion for her animal and vegan advocacy, Jacque hosts two NBC lifestyle shows - New York Live in New York City and The Hub Today in Boston, giving audiences daily dose of entertainment news and also giving the rundown of what the two cities have in store when it comes to fashion, food, and fun. She is also part of the NBC Red Carpet Team where she frontlines the coverage of breaking entertainment news. When her career started, she had graduated from HBCU Clark Atlanta University and Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and worked her way from the local news to the national stage for CNN Headline News and BET Nightly News.
On radio, Jacque was also a correspondent for the Tom Joyner Morning Show where she produced and hosted the “Inside Her Story” segment, that focused on women and women’s issues, for 14 years. She now Co-Hosts Reid This/Reid That podcast, with Joy Reid - the first ever Black woman to host a show in the networks primetime lineup.
Jacque is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Christian Cultural Center church in Brooklyn, and the New York Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She has also served on various boards including Black Girls Rock and The Black and Missing Foundation.
