Let’s talk about open offices.
Working in an open office is impacting your brain - negatively! Open Office, to put simply, is a workspace without enclosed rooms or spaces.
According to a research conducted by Plantronics and Future Workplace in Australia and New Zealand, nearly three in five or 57% of the employees surveyed said they prefer working in an open plan office more than in a traditional office with a privacy-oriented floor plan.
Open offices are designed to supposedly increase face-to-face collaboration between employees. It can be a great way to stimulate productivity and collaboration. However, these can also be a hindrance. Many employees tend to be distracted from the noise around them, and are more productive when it's quiet.
This is why I wanted to look into the effects of open offices on your brain.
