In December 1995, Adrianne Jones, a 16-year old high school student, was found brutally murdered in the town of Grand Prairie, Texas. The investigation was extensive and included many more witnesses than is typically necessary for older victims. Four suspects quickly rose to the top of the list, but one by one, detectives were able to take each suspect off the list, until the case went cold.
Then, one day in August 1996, detectives got a strange call from the Naval Academy that one of their freshmen cadets, Diane Zamora, had told her friends that her boyfriend, David Graham, a freshman at the Air Force Academy, had killed for her. Investigators were shocked but they had to look into it. The investigators may have gotten more than they bargained for with the killers’ written confessions, that read more like dramatic prose.
Dig in with Margot as she discusses the crazy 9-month long investigation, the killer confessions, and the facts of the case that resulted in a made-for-TV-movie.
