How do we deal with rejection? When you’re selling someone else’s product, it doesn’t seem so bad to hear a “no”. It’s a different story when it’s your own product or service – it feels like they’re saying “no” to you, personally!
If you take away one thing from this week’s episode, it would be this: a “no” is not a “no” to you. There’s no way for you to know what is going on in someone’s decision to not move forward with you on a sales call! With more practice, you’ll teach yourself how to detach from the need for that external validation, whatever form it takes.
This week, I want to talk about how that rejection usually means you’re going in the right direction. You’re not meant to work with everyone. You shouldn’t even want to! Your dream clients are going to see the value in your work.
It’s certainly not easy, but hearing “no” doesn’t mean that you’re doing anything wrong. As you grow through the process, you’ll find that the “no” is make room for the “Yes!”
