A first generation American born to Jamaican immigrant parents, Dr. Hedman has always known that she wanted to be the first physician in her family and was willing to do whatever it takes to fulfill her calling. Slated to graduate from the St. George's Medical University in Grenada in May of 2021, Dr. Hedman has already secured her position as an incoming categorical obstetrics and gynecology intern in the U.S.
Her journey was not an easy one, but Dr. Hedman was able to remain positive and hopeful throughout, citing her passion and love for her target field as her main driving force.
