If you live in the Western world, how often do you learn about other cultures? Or rather, how much do you actually get to learn about them? It's crazy to think that we know so little about countries around the world, or that we may have never even heard of certain places in the world before. We believe it is important and interesting to learn about the world around us, and that's why we want to do our best to bring you what you probably won't get from your high school history class. In this episode of Asian Girl In A Western World, Lulu and Yaya welcome guest speaker Daniyar Egen, who is a Kyrgyz and Ukrainian who grew up in Moscow and currently lives in Bavaria, Germany. Daniyar has a unique experience and identity and works with several organizations such as the European Youth Parliament, CTBTO Youth Group, and more, which center around combatting anti-Asian racism in Post-Soviet countries.
