In this episode of the BEYOND YOGA TEACHER TRAINING Podcast, Sandy explores a deeper understanding of what the yoga postures can represent in our lives and how we can make adjustments that get us out of a rut and into the groove and flow of life.
A modern yogi, Sandy finds balance and sustainability as a wife and mother of three boys, while cultivating longevity as a yoga teacher, educator, and trainer. Sandy has practiced yoga for almost two decades and continues to seek methods and new avenues of exploring and sharing the beautiful gift of the practice. Her modern approach to the traditional yoga practice is imbued with attention to detail and efficiency in movements, alignment, and techniques.
Sandy believes and seeks a functional approach to this traditional practice in order to create sustainability for the yoga practitioner. Sandy’s desire is for her students to cultivate and grow in their personal yoga practice, building trust in themselves to listen to their bodies and create a practice that serves their lives on and off the mat. With a strong passion to inspire and support new yoga teachers, Sandy seeks to offer opportunities for teachers to refine, grow and develop themselves into inspirations of service within their communities.
Sandy has accumulated thousands of hours teaching and 1000+ hours of training. Sandy completed 200- and 300-hour training with Rolf Gates and additional 300-hour training with Yoga Medicine®/Tiffany Cruikshank. She is recognized as a Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist. Sandy is a continual student of the practice. Sandy offers her own 200 YTT recognized by Yoga Alliance, as well as, a continuing education provider for YA. She offers workshops and a teacher development program to support yoga teachers within their continual teaching refinement. It is truly her passion to connect and share the amazing life benefits of the yoga practice with as many individuals as possible.
