Moment of Meditation: Enter the Joy (Matthew 25:19-23)
''Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.' His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.' And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.' His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master' (Matthew 25:19-23).''
The master comes back from his journey. He settles accounts with the three servants. The first two immediately come up to him to show him the great profits the gifts he had given them had made for them.
The master praises both servants because of their usage of the gifts that he gave them. He tells each of them, "Enter into the joy of your master." They are not only praised for their use of the gifts. They are allowed to sit at his table as one of his great managers.
Jesus does this as He promises those who use their gifts to proclaim Him before men to be able to sit at the feast of salvation with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and all the blest when He comes into His kingdom which has no end (Matthew 8:11). Use your gifts and you will find your seat at that wondrous table as well. Amen.
