Golf is Back! | Ep.64

Golf courses re-opened across the Republic of Ireland this Monday 26th April, and golfers who have been staring out windows and scrolling through twitter seeing checkered tee boxes and striped fairways have finally got their opportunity to take out the clubs and swing away! It's great to have golf back, despite the inevitable shacks, chunks, tops and hooks.

Dave and Jonny both got out on Monday and Tuesday of this week and are already feeling the effects of the lack of golf, our bodies ache but we're delighted the game is back! We talk through how our rounds went as well as chat through where some of you have been playing.

In professional news Tom McKibbon has turned pro, signed with JMC Sport and is making his debut on the European Tour this week at the Tenerife Open, along with a host of Irish golfers in the field.

We give our opinions on the new PGA Tours Player Impact Program, we don't like it. $40 million could have been put to much better use growing the game, increasing participation and diversity in golf, but this is what we've been given.

In good news, The Bogey Men is one year old! What started out as two friends chatting golf turned into a podcast with thousands of like minded mates tuning in each week. And we've only just begun, as golf courses are now open, we're really excited for the year ahead, we have lot's planned from special podcast guests to original video content and challenge videos, keep an eye on our social channels!
