Michael Lewis On The Birth of Behavioural Economics
In this week's episode we're featuring a live event from before the pandemic in which acclaimed author of 'Moneyball' and 'The Big Short', Michael Lewis joined us to discuss how Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky created the field of behavioural economics. Both were gifted young psychology professors: Kahneman a rootless son of holocaust survivors who saw the world as a problem to be solved; Tversky a voluble, instinctual blur of energy. The event was hosted by Stephanie Flanders head of Bloomberg Economics.
