Moment of Meditation: Unknown Deeds (Matthew 25:37-39)
Original Broadcast: June 2014
''Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' (Matthew 25:37-39).''
Christians are people who willingly do God's will without thinking about it. So the sheep must ask when they served Jesus. They were simply living their Christian life. Fulfilling their vocation. Not looking for a reward. Simply living life.
Christians take care of others. Christians established the first hospitals. Christian mission societies were established first to take care of people's needs. This was the beginning of the Salvation Army. A place where Christians joined together to take care of the downtrodden.
Do Christians always know what great works they are doing? No. Knowing isn't the point. Christians serve. Whether they are recognized for it or not. Because they will be recognized for it on the Last Day. Amen.
