The term “criminal justice reform” has been hijacked to mean letting criminals out of jail. In reality, we need reforms to lock more of them up. I discuss some of the most gruesome crime stories that demand the need for numerous reforms, from juvenile laws and insanity pleas to tougher sentencing and pretrial holding.
