My guest today is Dr. Meg van Deusen a clinical psychologist and mindfulness practitioner in private practise since 1994. Meg has a passion for attachment theory, mindfulness, interpersonal neurobiology, sleep and dreams which informs her belief that meaningful connection with ourselves and others help us handle stress. In a time of great stress and disconnection, Meg offers insights and solutions to help us reconnect and live healthier lives. Meg shares with us how her first realisation of a national- if not a global shift in our secure attachment was 9/11, when the Twin Towers were attacked and our sense of safety was greatly compromised and none more so than throughout the present pandemic. She writes and talks about how social media has made us all vulnerable being constantly on with no boundaries and how this has affected our relationships. In her book she outlines practical tools and techniques to help heal and transform your life, with compelling stories and a overview of the stresses and challenges we all face. It was a pleasure to speak with Meg today and learn from her vast experience and knowledge. Meg has published her book - Stressed in the US - 12 Tools to tackle anxiety, loneliness, Tech Addiction and more. We can all relate to Meg's book as stress and anxiety affect each and everyone of us. Check out Meg's website for more on her work and also to order her book www.megvandeusen.com
