As the Regular Joes, joined by Semi- Regular Joe Brian Mix, record this episode it is May the Fourth, a day Sci Fi fans have long awaited, as Andy (The Martian) Weir’s new novel, Project Hail Mary, is released. In other news May the fourth coincidentally also happens to be “Star Wars day” the most legit of the made up sci-fi franchise holidays, and the Joes acknowledge some of the ways (mostly commercial) the day is observed. Next, three of the most dedicated fans of Apple’s For All Mankind, and also Barry, work through through the, seemingly inevitable, conclusion of the second season. For All Mankind depicts an alternate reality where the Soviets put the first man on the moon and a decade and a half later the space race has not only continued but has escalated to lunar armed conflict. For anyone who predicted this will not end well, pretty much yeah. There’s also a more reigned in than normal round of Random Topics and a childhood keepsake round of Show and Tell clearly dominated by Brian and Dave, who apparently still have everything they’ve ever owned. Thanks for listening, and, May the Fourth be with you!
