Today I want to talk about something that is grossly underused and underrated. I am guilty of this myself. You might be thinking it’s praying or reading your Bible and yes, the same thing can be said about those as well and I have mentioned those in the past and these are the most important, but after these comes something else. That is practice. I don’t do enough of it. Who has the time for practice? Let’s just do a song we know so don’t have to practice. Or, let’s just see where the Holy Spirit leads. Or, I know how to play or sing so well that I don’t have to practice. You can put whatever excuse you want to there, but it does not change the fact that we need to be practicing. Why do we need to be practicing, you might ask, aren’t we under grace? If you think that Grace allowes you to do whatever you want without a care then you have not read through the Bible. Romans and James would be good books to read about that. So, why practice? Well, let me tell you. Here are a few reasons why I argue that we need to be practicing.
