The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted women in the workforce. According to the 2020 Women in the Workplace study, 1 in 4 women are reported to be considering downshifting their careers or exiting the workforce due to the pandemic. Today, nearly 3 million women and mothers have already left the US workforce due to lack of access to childcare, difficulties balancing the demands of work-life-home-school needs, industry furloughs, and disproportionate economic circumstances and opportunities.
