Welcome back to the 41st episode of The Cup which is our a weekly (give or take, TBD, these are unprecedented times) performing arts talk show presented by Cup of Hemlock Theatre. The theatres may be closed, but art finds a way to survive! For our 41st episode we honour the late, great Christopher Plummer, by discussing his extraordinary performance as Julius Caesar in the Stratford Festival’s 2008 production of George Bernard Shaw’s Caesar and Cleopatra, directed by Des McAnuff, and co-starring Nikki M. James in the role of Cleopatra.
