Bit Depth 195 BONUS - Sounds Welcome - Albums of the Decade
Well, this isn’t Bit Depth. But it does include Santiago Ramones. Sounds Welcome is a podcast by Kaelan Deese where he has music, news, interviews, social justice, and thought-provoking debates. This is actually the last episode of that podcast, and it features Jackson Fritts (with a short performance from him as Chameleon Factory), Tai Phan, Kaelan Deese, and myself, Santiago Ramones. We discussed our top albums of the decade, for which we each made lists.
A quick note about audio: there were some errors in the audio that caused random snippets of sound to be cut out, so you’ll likely hear audio dropouts at the ends of words or in the middle of sentences. I tried to clean it up as much as I could, but I can’t do much about missing sounds. Regardless, you can still pretty much understand everything, although Jackson and I had to share a microphone, so you’ll hear a lot of volume differences between us.
Lastly, I don’t have the other guys’ lists, but here’s mine, not in order of preference, but in order of release:
Gotye - Making Mirrors (2011)
Björk - Biophilia (2011)
Disasterpeace - FEZ OST (2012)
Death Grips - The Money Store (2012)
Woodkid - The Golden Age (2013)
Darren Korb - Transistor: Original Soundtrack (2014)
Modest Mouse - Strangers to Ourselves (2015)
Son Lux - Bones (2015)
Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool (2016)
clipping. - Splendor & Misery (2016)
Brand New - Science Fiction (2017)
Everything Everything - A Fever Dream (2017)
