This week, I catch up with rural mum Jillina Whittaker. Jillina lives in a tiny rural town of 30 people, and calls the cop shop home! She's married to a police officer, and they live with their four kids in a house attached to the station. They have a very unique lifestyle that sees them move around every couple of years. Jillina opens up about what it's like homeschooling her children, and how she's navigated motherhood without being able to settle down and make a permanent home. This is her story.

Motherhood can be a very isolating and trying time, and the reality is, not all rural families have access to parents groups or mothers groups which can help ease social isolation. That's why Maternal Child Health Nurse Rebecca Bradshaw created a child health service entirely online. Town and Country Child and Family Health runs weekly, ONLINE parent groups so mums everywhere can still access the extra support, connection and friendships they deserve. To join or to find out more, search 'Town and Country Child and Family Health' on Facebook or follow My Nurse Bec on Instagram.
