So many of us get caught in the busyness of our day-to-day lives and activities. When we wake up we hit the ground running, accomplishing all we’re set out to do for the day. We attempt to get work done, take care of our homes and families, among other goals. But most often, when we fail to hit our knees or take the time needed to ground ourselves, we can find ourselves spinning our wheels, getting tired, and failing to recognize that we have a choice to slow down, take a deep breath, and feel deserving of our work.
In this week’s Recovery Coaching Podcast, the group helped Wendy. Struggling with an impending sense of urgency, the group helps her gain awareness by determining if she’s running from past traumatic experiences or running towards an unattainable goal due to feeling undeserving. The group also helped Tim. Working two jobs and supporting a family, Tim rarely finds time for himself. The group challenges him on feeling deserving of his hard work and taking time out for himself.
