David Moscrop is a well-known political theorist, currently living in Ottawa, who writes a regular column for The Washington Post, and has been featured in Canadian publications such as Maclean’s and the Ottawa Citizen.
The Forgotten Corner welcomes David to the show this week to talk about his life growing up in Peterborough and his desire to expand his horizons beyond. We talk about his first book, Too Dumb For Democracy? Why We Make Bad Political Decisions and How We Can Make Better Ones, and the systemic changes needed to develop a proper democracy. We have a few laughs, talk a little about the academic world and dice into a few current events.
