Tales from the Crypt: Top Billing (1991)

In “Top Billing,” Barry (Jon Lovitz) gets much more than he bargains for when he auditions for a stage production of HAMLET in what he believes to be a rundown theater in a seedier part of the city, but is actually an asylum taken over by the inmates. It’s a classic episode co-starring John Astin, Louise Fletcher, and veteran character actor Paul Benedict.
