SPS 110: Supporting A Cause Or Charity With Your Book Launch (How To & Mistakes To Avoid) with Susie Harder
Have you thought about donating the proceeds from your book to a charity or cause? Or writing a book with this in mind?
This is exactly what I did with my first book and we've had so many other authors in the SPS community do this as well; including today's guest Susie Harder.
Susie wrote Children's Book "Where's My House" using SPS's Children's Book School to raise money for kids in California who lost their house during the wild fires.
Today she joins to talk about:
-should you donate the proceeds from your book?
-how to unlock more doors, sell more books, get publicity, etc by having a cause behind your book
-how having a purpose behind the project makes it more meaningful, gets you out of your comfort zone, and helps you actually get the book done
-advice for others who work with kids thinking about writing a book (educators, parents, etc)
Susie and this project is the definition of "Leveraged Impact"! So cool seeing how many people she's helping with this book.
If you're thinking about writing for kids or donating to a cause with your book, don't miss this episode!
