Welcome back to Playtime! This is the segment of the podcast designed for kids to listen to outside, with their grown ups. For this week's playtime, we will be experimenting with sounds. Kids will have the opportunity to wonder about what sounds they can hear, and create, in their nature space, and try making some music with you.
The supplies you will need for this week: One or more empty containers with lids, such as recycled yogurt containers, bottles, tupperware, etc. and some materials that can go inside of your containers to make interesting sounds - such as pebbles, rice, dry beans, or you can try gathering other materials in your space and see what sound they make. You will also need one or more sticks per person, or if sticks are not readily available you can use a wooden spoon, spatula, or similar.
Have fun out there!!
