With our hatred of thieves, one would think that finally we have a commandment that we can all agree on. Can you imagine how pleasant life would be living in a society without thieves? No more locks. No more passwords. No more iron bars. No more lies. No more security cameras. No more gouging. No more bribes. No more suspicions. No more ‘No Trespassing’ signs. Courts would empty. Prisons would be barren. Prices would drop and trillions of dollars would be saved.

Let me suggest that we can restore our economy by strictly requiring obedience to the Eighth Commandment in Washington, in advertising, on Wall Street, in business, and more importantly in our own personal lives. The rules of law as stated in the Ten Commandments are not suggestions. They are The Law of Liberty. They are laws necessary for the stability of a democratic republic and must be taken seriously and seriously enforced.
