Legendary football journalist Paddy Barclay and Manchester United author and producer Wayne Barton return for the second season of their acclaimed history series on Manchester United. In this series they discuss the early years of Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Episode Three takes in the almost-signing of Paul Gascoigne, and the almost-signing of one Marco Van Basten. Neither players came in, and Ferguson instead went to the well of young players for the first wave of 'Fergie Fledglings'. Often forgotten, they are given due credit here.
