27: How Yoga Can Help You Reestablish Harmony In Your Body with Elizabeth Scollan
I don’t know if you know this about me, but I absolutely love yoga.
I find it to be incredibly beneficial emotionally and physically, and I know a lot of my patients feel the same way!
In this episode, I am joined by my favorite yoga teacher, Elizabeth Scollan, and we're having a fun chat about yoga, women's health, community, the importance of ceremony, and how this all ties into our overall wellbeing.
Liz Scollan stumbled into her first yoga class in 2006 as a means to relieve a stressful work life. She left that first class amazed at how much more integrated she felt in her body and the world, and she has been practicing ever since.
Elizabeth completed her 200-hour training in 2011 with Kim Manfredi at Charm City Yoga. She has continued to study yoga and many other movement and meditation modalities which she integrates into all of her classes. Her classes are challenging, creatively sequenced, and prepare you to work toward unique poses with the help of props and options along the way. She is currently working on her 300 Hour YTT through Yoga Medicine led by Tiffany Cruikshanks.
I love yoga for its health benefits, but I am most impressed with how well it helps not only myself but many other women feel strong, empowered, and at peace with their bodies.
This is an awesome conversation about the details and benefits of practicing yoga, and I think you will really enjoy it!
