This Korean Adoptee Had A Complicated Family Structure of Trauma & How She Learned to Heal From It
Korean Adoptee Stories is excited to introduce a Korean Adoptee: Peggy Galdamez. Peggy recounts her story of trauma where her adoptive parents divorced young. She lost to custody from her adoptive mother and her brother and her were sent to live with her adoptive father who remarried and recounts the time where she was asked at a young age to call her Step-Mom, Mom and growing up with them was strained. Since then she has struggled with her identity, abandonment issues and mental health issues. She has sought help through an adoptee competent therapist and has started her own journey of healing and learning to love herself and the shortcomings of her parents, and found ways to be happier as a mother and wife. Peggy is a health and wellness, coach, an author, and runs an adoptee support group called: Adoptees For Healing and host her own podcast called: Heal, Transform, Thrive.
