With Andrea, we explore the 10 principles of intuitive eating, as initially proposed by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch in 1995. Intuitive Eating encompasses self-care when eating, and teaches individuals to use instinct, emotion, and rational thought to make decisions around food. Not only does intuitive eating take us back to a natural and instinctive way of eating, but it is evidence-based and weight inclusive with over 100 studies backing it's validity.
This episode explores intuitive eating from a disordered eating perspective, with eating disorder recovery at the heart of the episode. Whilst Andrea explores the principles, Han asks sensitive questions about the onset and logistics of intuitive eating during eating disorder recovery.
