On this episode of The Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Joey Belladonna of Anthrax. Pipeman begins by speaking about seeing Anthrax for the first time in LA in the early 80’s, before moving on to talk about how their new music is like living in the 80’s again. Joey talks about what it was like playing at his good friend Ronnie James Dio’s birthday remembrance, as the two reminisced about his legacy in music. Pipeman and Joey then move on to discuss Joey’s Journey Tribute band, his cover band and his love for music of many different genres, which they feel helps a musician grow and progress, as Pipeman says he thinks bands are going back to a more progressive style. Pipeman and Joey also discuss concerts and how they’re cautious about how they’ll work and how Anthrax have purposely not made themselves too busy. Finally, to finish off the interview, Pipeman asks what story would Joey tell when he’s 90 to which he offers up a story of his father not letting him have hair below his shoulder, to which Pipeman replies with a story of his own about the ear piercing his father told him not to get!
