Shelley Kaye
Shelley is one of the Founding partners and currently the Executive Director of WinDS-Women in Default Services now known as Women in Diversified Services WinDS is a trade association for women in the real estate and mortgage industry . Prior to founding WinDS, Shelley served on the REOMAC Board of Directors for eight years and was the 2008 and 2009 President of REOMAC®, a national non-profit trade association for the mortgage default industry.
Shelley has had a multifaceted career in both real estate and mortgage banking. She has been a licensed California Real Estate Agent for over 25 years and sold properties in Southern California prior to entering the mortgage banking field. Starting out as a temporary employee for a local community bank, handling the transfers of thousands of servicing files, Shelley worked her way up to become the assistant to the Vice President of the Servicing Department. Her experience in customer service, collections and loss mitigation led to her greatest passion, REO asset management. After spending seven years at First Central Bank in Cerritos, CA, she joined the default team at Option One Mortgage where she worked for 11 years as a Senior Asset Manager, managing a team of associates as well as handling a multi-state REO portfolio. After leaving Option One, Shelley worked with ECC Capital as a Servicing Oversight Specialist and then for Insource Financial Services managing a nationwide REO portfolio. Shelley also participates as a speaker on a variety of panels for many industry events
