Tales from the Crypt: Judy, You’re Not Yourself Today (1991)

In “Judy, You’re Not Yourself Today,” a very unusual inclusion in the second season of TALES FROM THE CRYPT, we’re introduced to a multitude of unusual elements, including, but not limited to: a married couple who speak to each other in British accents just because, body-swapping, a score better suited for a tango lesson at the local YMCA, buried/resurrected witches, and a garish necklace with magical powers. Season 2 contains some of the best episodes of the series, such as “The Ventriloquist’s Dummy,” “Cutting Cards,” “Dead Right,” “Three’s a Crowd,” and so many more. So, needless to say, this one sort of sticks out like a sore thumb. Nevertheless, it’s amusing for what it is. Carol Kane’s whacky performance certainly helps.
