Sam Baynes is a physiotherapist who landed a dream job out in the Austrian Alps. Whilst out in the mountains celebrating New Year's Eve, a sledge accident stopped her life in it's tracks.
Sam was in a coma with a very small chance of pulling through and spent three months in hospital. She had to relearn how to walk and talk and miraculously made it through the other side. She has since gone on to summit 4000m peaks, Kilimanjaro and trekked to Everest Base Camp with a charity who help veterans.
We chat about Sam's mountain adventures, the importance of a positive mindset and her plans for the future.
